This boat tour shows off the beauty of Kona's reefs, including underwater lava formations, marine life, and a lot of tropical fish.
Spend your morning in paradise with our lifeguard-certified tour guides exploring Kona's cleanest coral reefs. Kona's coastline is endowed with some of Hawaii's most beautiful reefs.
We have a choice of eight local reefs, all of which are within 15 minutes of Honokohau harbor, where the adventure begins. The majority of these Kona snorkeling spots can only be reached by boat. Skip the long boat ride and the crowds of Kealakekua Bay and join us for an exciting snorkel tour with a shorter boat ride to places where we may be the only people. Shorter boat rides allow you to spend more time in the water where the action is!
This Deluxe Kailua-Kona morning snorkel tour starts as we cruise out of the harbor in search of surface marine life. Dolphins, manta rays, and whales are occasionally spotted along the way. If we're lucky, we might be able to spot the elusive whale shark! We choose our first snorkeling spot in Kona, and a lifeguard-certified water guide takes us on an adventure in the water. We take a break after the first reef snorkel to enjoy light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks onboard. We'll talk about the fascinating creatures we saw while snorkeling and share some local history about the island.
To round out our adventure, we chose a second Kona snorkeling location. We’ll keep an eye out for more wildlife on the fun boat ride back to the harbor. Please keep in mind that spinner dolphins and whales are protected under the Marine Mammal Protection Act and can only be seen from a certain distance. If dolphins try to engage us, we must take precautions to avoid them.

To snorkel, kids under 18 must be at least 3 years old, be good swimmers, and be with an adult at all times.
