You can also use binoculars at the center to spot whales and dolphins out at sea.

On the southcoast of Maui there are some really amazing beaches. If you’re staying in the town of Kihei, you will be able to reach many beautiful beaches by car or public transport. White sand beaches and green lush plants in the background are standard at the beaches around Kihei!
Kamaole Beach Park I, II & III
The Kamaole Beach Park are located in the Southern part of Kihei, and are very close to the center, depending on where you’re standing. The Kamaole Beach Park is actually divided by rock formations into three single beaches, Kamaole Beach Park I and II being the biggest parts of the beach. The white sand beaches are a real gem on the coast, and both Kam I and II are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Kam I and II are perfect for visiting with children, while Kam III is a bit less protected and there are usually some rougher waves. Bodyboarders actually love Kamaole Beach Park III!

Charley Young Beach
But the best beach for swimming around Kihei is actually Charley Young Beach! It’s located a bit north of Kihei town, and is very easy to get to by car or other transportation. The golden sand invites for a relaxing sunbath, and you don’t have to worry about slipping on rocks or coral reefs. Charley Young Beach is super protected, and the calm waters are amazing for swimming and snorkeling. It’s a very popular beach amongst locals, and the long sand strip is also great for walking and jogging.

Keawakapu Beach
Keawakapu Beach is another great beach for long beach strolls by the sea. Golden sand in front of the blue Pacific Ocean and green palm trees in the background make for a perfect setting for a Maui beach day. There are usually some waves at Keawakapu Beach, so it’s less popular for swimming but very good for bodyboarders and surfers, depending on the conditions. It’s located at the end of South Kihei road, and thanks to the long stretch, you can always find a quiet spot to relax at.
