On this self-guided tour, rent a kayak and explore the Kahana Rainforest River. This is Oahu's best kayaking experience. This kayak rental on Oahu takes you up a calm river into the secluded Kahana Valley, then out into Kahana Bay for a spectacular view of the coast and mountains. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kahana Valley, which has a turquoise ocean, a quiet beach, mountains covered in green, and a lot of jungle. The entire setting has an Amazonian vibe to it.
A tour guide is not included in the Kahana Rainforest River kayak rental. To transport the equipment for about 1 mile, you will need a 4-door vehicle (or a vehicle with roof racks). We offer foam pads and straps that will fit most vehicles.

The valley showcases stunning mountains, lush greenery, a rainforest river, and a breathtaking ocean bay.
Kahana Bay and Valley, located in Ahupua'a O Kahana, are among the few places on the island that have stayed unspoiled by commercial development. The state has done an excellent job of preserving and protecting this area. This is a unique opportunity that both tourists and residents may not want to miss out on.

For this experience, you will not be accompanied by a tour guide as it is self-guided. You will receive the kayaks at the designated meeting location, and our team will assist you in loading them onto your vehicle for transportation to the kayak launch site. Our soft pads and straps allow you to use any four-door sedan, van, or SUV.
If you don't have a means of transporting the equipment, you may consider coastal kayaking from the beach located across the street. The scenic views of the mountains and windward coast of Oahu are truly breathtaking. However, we suggest avoiding venturing beyond the reef if you opt for this choice.
