This Speedboat tour to Saona Island is available from Bayahibe / Dominicus, Punta Cana / Bavaro, Juan Dolio / Boca Chica. We will pick you up at your hotel with a transport organized by us. Everything will be planned for you to have a wonderful day aboard our speedboat! Away from the crowds, to discover the white sand beach of Canto de la playa and the colorful fishing village of Mano Juan as well as the spectacular natural swimming pool and its giant starfish.
We take care of everything, you just have to take place in our speedboat and enjoy the amazing landscapes of Saona and its beautiful white sand beaches. Departure from your hotel whether you are in Bayahibe/Dominicus, Punta Cana/Bavaro or Juan Dolio/Boca Chica is included. After booking, we will send you a confirmation with pickup time and place. We will be waiting for you in Bayahibe, starting point of the excursion, to embark on our fast boat. (This tour is not suitable for children under 3 years old, pregnant women and people in wheelchairs)
Let's go, we leave for Cotubanama National Park! A short stop in front of the Penon where our English-speaking guide will give you explanations about the cliff and the Taino natives, the first inhabitants of the island. We will then discover the mangroves, which are trees growing directly in the sea water.
First stop is the island of Saona, at the beach of Canto de la playa. We will spend 2h30 on this magic white sand beach surrounded by coconut trees. Relaxation for some, snorkeling for others, whichever suits you best. After these marvelous moments, we will take the fast boat to go to the village of Mano Juan for a Dominican lunch.
Once everybody is done with lunch, let's take a cap and sun cream to visit the village of Mano Juan with our English speaking guide and get a glimpse of the local life (wooden house, anecdotes, local shops, national sports...). We will finish by visiting the typical turtle nursery, a project maintained by a local family. With the means at hand, they take care of the incubation of the eggs during the laying period and the release of the baby turtles into the sea. It is not 100% guaranteed to see hatchlings, it will depend on the season and the hatching cycle.
Once the visit is over you will have a little time to take a nap at the water's edge or test your bargaining skills in the small local shops. To top it off, we'll go to the famous natural pool where we'll be able to see the huge starfish (be careful, it's not allowed touch them, we can only admire them and take pictures), have an aperitif in the turquoise Caribbean water and enjoy a wonderful moment together.
Return to the port of Bayahibe with beautiful memories, where your transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. The departure of this excursion is planned around 9:00 am for a return around 5:00 pm. Maximum capacity on board is 27 people.
