Take in the breathtaking colors of the sunset surrounding New York Harbor’s skyscrapers and iconic monuments such as the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Brooklyn Bridge during your tour. On this sunset tour we will sail south from Chelsea Piers and along the Hudson River to Battery Park, passing by Ellis Island and sailing out to the Statue of Liberty. If the wind and time allows, we will sail to Governors Island, past the Financial District, and via the Buttermilk Channel.
America 2.0 is a sailing vessel inspired by the famed Schooner America, which was built in New York Harbor in 1851. That same year, America won the worldwide competition known as the America’s Cup, demonstrating the country’s ability to design fast, sleek, and efficient ships. In 2011, Scarano Boat Building in Albany, NY combines classic American ideals of craftsmanship and efficient design with 21st century concepts—modern materials and eco-friendly propulsion—to produce America 2.0, the most distinguished state-of-the-art ship of our time.
