Are you ready for a Berlenga Island boat tour with cave visit?

This incredible round-trip journey to Berlenga Island takes approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes in total. The tour starts from our meeting point at Ribeira Velha 3, in the Marina of Peniche. Please note that this is a regular, shared ferry and cave boat service rather than a private charter, allowing you to share this scenic ocean crossing with other eager explorers.

Get ready to discover one of the most spectacular natural reserves in Portugal! Your adventure begins with a comfortable boat ride from Peniche to the rugged shores of Berlenga Grande. Once you arrive, you will step onto a specialized glass-bottom boat to explore the island’s famous marine caves. The crystal-clear, turquoise waters and the dramatic rock formations will simply take your breath away as you look down into the underwater world.

During your free time on the island, you can walk along the scenic nature trails, visit the historic São João Baptista Fort, or relax on the cozy beach. It is the perfect day trip for families, couples, and nature lovers alike. Just make sure to pack comfortable walking shoes, fresh water, and plenty of sunscreen for this unforgettable island escape!

It was a wonderful experience. We chose the package that included a visit to the caves, and everything was very well organized from start to finish.

The crew was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and genuinely uplifting to be around. They explained everything in three languages (English, Portuguese, and Spanish), which made it easy for everyone on board to feel included, no matter where they were from.

There was a great balance between professionalism and a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere. You could really tell they cared about the experience they were offering.

If you’re planning to visit the island, they’re definitely the perfect choice.

I absolutely loved the experience aside from the confusion on the island. The boat ride was great as long as you do not get motion sickness. The crue could have been more animated and proactive when it came to the passengers that got sick. The boat ride to the caves was fun even though they are not really caves. None the less, worth taking the ride so that you can see how beautiful the coast is. During both boat rides, it was hard to understand English since they had a heavy accent. Overall, first time experience was very enjoyable but due to the touristic confusion, once was enough.

Really an amazing experience. From seamless ticket purchase process until the very well executed tours.

The two guides were consistently on our side from going on the ship, during the cave tour and when we left again.

Tours are in english, spanish, french and of course portugese.

Well organised. Beautiful islands. Value for money. Pretty choppy waters on the way over so wouldn't recommend for those who get sea sick. Best to check the wave height before booking if you do.
