Are you ready for a rescue kayak class in Orlando?
This wet exit, recovery, and rescue kayak class in Orlando will last for 3 hours. People who want to learn how to do wet exits, recover, re-enter, or rescue can take this class. Everyone in the class will be in the water, and it will be a physically demanding class. This means that people will have to swim, pump, and climb back into kayaks that are mostly submerged. If it scares you to be upside down in your kayak, don't sign up for this class. Get lessons from an ACA or BCU instructor one-on-one.
Bring your own kayak, PFD, spray skirt, and sponge if you have them. If not, we can give you a kayak and all the gear you need. If you need them, we will give you bilge pumps and paddle floats. This class meets no matter the weather! Only if lightning strikes will a class be moved to a different time.
Please bring clothes that you don't mind getting wet and dirty. Water shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a strap for your glasses, a nose plug or a dive mask, a towel, a change of clothes, water, and snacks. Any class with five or fewer people could be canceled up to two hours before it was supposed to start if not enough people signed up.
