This SUP Algarve’s secrets tour is an amazing way to explore the hidden coastline of southwest Algarve? Stand-up paddleboard (SUP) will give you a unique perspective of the coast of the Algarve and allows you to discover places you would never see on a boat tour.
With pick-ups in between Lagos and Sagres, you will be transferred through the Natural Park to a paradise beach to for the SUP Algarve’s secrets tour. Pick-up is 15 € for pick-up per booking (drop-off included). Normally, the pick-up is at 9h10 at the Lagos Bus Station but the actual time and meeting point are to be advised after booking the tour.
If you’ve never tried stand-up paddle boarding before, then you are in for a treat! The guides will show you the basics and all safety techniques on the beach before getting into the sea. Once you feel ready, let’s get into the fresh Atlantic!
All you need to bring is a towel and swimming costume. A lot easier than surfing, you’ll soon be standing on boards that are big and stable with a big smile on your face! This SUP Algarve’s secrets tour will take you to visit hidden beaches, and venture inside dark caves. Look out for birds above you, and fish below. You will even get the opportunity to try some cliff jumping if desired.
The total duration of this experience varies between 3 and 4 hours (2 to 3 hours in the water).

- What should I wear for the SUP tour? Most likely, you’ll end up in the water. So be prepared for that 😉 In the summer, just your swimsuit is enough. Or you can wear some shorts or leggings or a t-shirt or lycra to protect from the wind or the sun. During the winter, it might be better to wear a wetsuit (included in the price of the tour). Most of all, don’t forget a hat and sunscreen.
- Can I store my belongings while doing the tour? You can store your belongings in your own (rental) car or with the guides, in their van. Camera-wise, the guides will take some amazing pictures, so no worries!
- Is this tour suitable for people who’ve never done SUP before? Yes, this SUP tour is designed for beginners and you don’t need to be super fit, but you should be able to paddle for a while.
- Is this tour suitable for kids? Depending on the ease of the kid, from 10-12 years can already be possible, but this also depends on the conditions, so we strongly recommend to contact us before booking for your child. Smaller kids can go on the same board with an adult (pays half price).
- Do I need to know how to swim? Yes, basic swimming skills are a must. Most likely you won’t need to swim, but you never know! You’ll also be wearing a life vest for safety reasons, which is mandatory by law.
