Are you ready for a summer sailing tour in Maine from Portland?
We begin our 5 day-sailing adventure to Maine in Portland and during the trip we'll explore this eclectic, fun, and nautical port city!
Day 1: Check into the Embassy Suites and enjoy a welcome meeting in a private room with lobster rolls, drinks, and meet your fellow clan with our host, Paul Hardersen. He will introduce everyone and talk about the weekend's activities ahead, and ensure everyone is ready to go for the weekend.
Day 2: Breakfast, Tate House Museum tour and exploration, lobster learning and lunch at Luke's Lobster, Lucky Catch cruise into Portland Bay to learn about lobsters on the sea, Portland Observatory tour, and cocktails and dinner at the Saltwater Grille in South Portland.
Day 3: After breakfast, we will spend the entire day at the Maine Maritime Museum, Bath, Maine, and receive a guided tour, explore the museum grounds, have lunch on-site, go on a 4-hour coastal cruise, go onboard the 1906 Schooner Mary E, and more! Return to Portland for fine dining at the Fore Street Restaurant in downtown Portland.
Day 4: Enjoy a 6-hour sail on a schooner from the Portland Schooner Company. Enjoy lunch onboard, learn some sailing techniques, enjoy the natural wonders, and be one with the sea! Afterwards, you'll have time to explore downtown Portland before a well-deserved dinner.
Day 5: Depart for home. The staff will be available to help you with your travels, if necessary.
