In fact, boat tours in Spain are very popular. In Spain you can find some of the best surf classes, diving spots, kayak trips and boat tours, from North to South and also on the Balearic islands as well as the Canaries.

Barcelona
Barcelona is the ideal destination for travelers who
love to be by the sea but also enjoy the exciting life of a big city. You may not expect it, but Barcelona offers some of the best watersport activities and boat tours in Spain. And after an unforgettable boat tour in Barcelona, you can go to a hip restaurant or to a
typical Spanish Tapas Bar for the perfect day.
Active travelers have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to water sports to explore the Costa Brava. For every type of person or group, there is something cool and fun to do. You can go on a SUP or kayak tour or take a break from your beach-day on our
banana boat in Barcelona.
For the real adrenaline-junkies amongst us, we recommend trying out
hoverboard or
flyboard in Barcelona. Or do you prefer to
slide over the Mediterranean Sea on a jet ski?
Regarding boat tours, you can find boats for all tastes and budgets. Maybe a
sunset cruise is our favorite. Come onboard and admire Barcelona skyline from another perspective while you sip from your cava and enjoy the magical colors of a stunning sunset!
Balearic Islands
The Spanish Balearic Islands are located in the Balearic Sea, on the East of the Spain mainland. The four largest islands are
Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. And many minor islands and islets can be found close to the larger islands, including Cabrera, Dragonera, and S'Espalmador.
The
islands have a Mediterranean climate and amazing beaches. The four major islands are very popular tourist destinations. Especially
Ibiza is known as an international party destination. While most of us probably associate Ibiza with its buzzing nightlife and a big hippie community, there’s actually much more to this little island!
Alicante
When it comes to tourism on the Spanish mainland,
Alicante is one of the hot-spots! Whether you are looking for
amazing white-sanded beaches, delicious food or a busy nightlife - you find it all in Alicante!
Given its location right on the Mediterranean Sea, the
water in Alicante is calm and warm. Watersport activities and boat tours in Alicante are very popular and most run all year round. One of the most popular boat tours in Alicante are the
coastal cruises on the maxi catamaran.
If you’re up for a bit more of an adventure, we suggest taking a SUP tour,
surf class or even go snorkeling!
When visiting Alicante for some sunny holidays, we strongly recommend visiting other cities like
El Campello,
Benidorm or even
Valencia.
Andalucia
Almeria is one of our favorite spots in Andalucia. Its old town with cute streets, the impressive fortress and the little port ask for some lovely photos and invite you to explore the different sides Almeria has to offer. Nature lovers visiting Andalucia, should head a little East of Almeria and
visit the stunning natural park Cabo da Gata - Níjar for a kayak tour.
And if you’re in the area, you might as well visit
Fuengirola. Here, you can go
parasailing, which will make your holidays in Spain unforgettable. You will be flying in the sky behind a powerboat. It’s a unique chance to
overview the coastline from Benalmadena to Fuengirola and the Sierra Nevadas from high in the sky.
Canaries
The islands of the Canaries are a very popular holiday destination. The Canary Islands are known for the year-round sunshine, nice beaches and unique natural attractions.
Of course, there’s no better way to discover the islands than on one of the boat tours! The Canaries host multiple types of boat tours, like fishing,
dolphin watching and even whale watching!
Numerous watersports on the Canary Islands are available like
kayaking, coasteering, surfing, stand-up paddle. If you go on a sea experience on the Canary Islands you have the
seemingly infinite space of the Atlantic Ocean to discover!
Language and currency in Spain
In Spain, Spanish is the official language. However, Six of the sixteen autonomous communities in Spain have other co-official languages in addition to Spanish.
Almost everybody speaks English. Especially in the more touristic places, you’ll find a lot of English speakers. But it’s always nice to know some basics in the language of the country you’re visiting, right? “Gracias” and “Por favor” will do wonders for you.
The local currency is the Euro. At most places, you can pay by card and you’ll also find a lot of ATMs (Telebancos) in urbanized areas.
Getting around in Spain
The best way to discover Spain during your holidays is definitely with a rental car! With a car, you can explore the coastline and beaches by driving through all the authentic and cute villages. And also get eyesight on the countryside.
If you prefer, you can go for the train. Spain has one in the best train networks of Europe. High-speed AVE trains (Alta Velocidad Española) link major cities and if you book in advance you can find some cheap fares at the official Spanish rail website Renfe.
Within major cities, you can use the metro or Uber, which work very well. Renting a bike is a great option in cities like Barcelona and Spain that have good bike lanes and are rather flat.
