Depois do Texas e de Copenhaga em junho deste ano, em julho o Redbull Cliff Diving<\/a> vir\u00e1(\u00e1) aos A\u00e7ores no dia 7. O arquip\u00e9lago dos A\u00e7ores, parte de Portugal, em pleno Oceano Atl\u00e2ntico, acolher\u00e1 a World Series de cliff diving pelo quinto ano consecutivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se gosta de mergulhar e tem a oportunidade de ir aos A\u00e7ores por volta de 9 de julho, n\u00e3o hesite e junte-se a este grande evento na Ilha de S\u00e3o Miguel. As fenomenais forma\u00e7\u00f5es rochosas vulc\u00e2nicas da Ilha de S\u00e3o Miguel s\u00e3o perfeitas para o mergulho de fal\u00e9sias nos A\u00e7ores! Enquanto na maioria dos locais que fazem parte da S\u00e9rie Mundial de mergulho de fal\u00e9sias, o mergulho \u00e9 feito de uma \u201cfal\u00e9sia\u201d artificial, nos A\u00e7ores, regressaremos \u00e0s origens, saltando diretamente das rochas.<\/p>\n\n\n

As impressionantes rochas das ilhas dos A\u00e7ores convidar\u00e3o atletas profissionais a saltar para o profundo mar azul atl\u00e2ntico de alturas incr\u00edveis. Este arquip\u00e9lago vulc\u00e2nico \u00fanico dos A\u00e7ores, situado no meio do Oceano Atl\u00e2ntico, servir\u00e1 como ponto de partida para os saltos das rochas, pelo quinto ano consecutivo, para os homens. Quanto \u00e0 competi\u00e7\u00e3o feminina, ap\u00f3s o enorme sucesso do ano passado, ser\u00e1 novamente realizada na pequena ilha de Vila Franca do Campo, perto de S\u00e3o Miguel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este \u00e9 o mergulho do penhasco puro: abrir as asas e saltar diretamente das rochas, como fizeram os pioneiros do salto do penhasco no Havai, h\u00e1 cerca de 250 anos. Apenas para os saltos mais t\u00e9cnicos, os atletas podem optar por saltar de uma plataforma constru\u00edda acima do oceano. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A competi\u00e7\u00e3o feminina de saltos para a \u00e1gua de fal\u00e9sia em A\u00e7ores<\/a> decorrer\u00e1 no ilh\u00e9u de Vila Franca do Campo. Este ilh\u00e9u tem este nome em homenagem a uma povoa\u00e7\u00e3o da ilha de S\u00e3o Miguel. O ilh\u00e9u de Vila Franca j\u00e1 serviu para diversos fins. Depois de ter sido utilizado como fortifica\u00e7\u00e3o militar, foi transformado numa vinha e, mais recentemente, o ilh\u00e9u foi classificado como reserva natural (desde 1983).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
