After passing the control in the port of Saranda, you can enjoy a stroll through this picturesque town or join a tour by coach along the region (not included)!
Afterwards, we will take you to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Butrint. This historical site is a real archaeological jewel, and all of you interested in ancient civilizations and history will be impressed by the number of ancient artefacts that can be admired here.
Over the centuries, the ancient town had disappeared under layers of silt and vegetation – but archaeologists have uncovered one of the best remains of a working town in the Mediterranean.
The ancient city of Vouthrota is situated at the edge of a lake where it impressive archaeological monuments and ancient theatre. Be ready to be taken 2500 years back in time to the 3rd century A.D.
You’ll be impressed by the gymnasium, the Roman ablutions, the ancient temple with the priceless mosaic floor and the enormous stone walls will take you back to a time not known to man.
At the top of the hill lies the castle of Ali Passa, from the Ottoman Empire. Here, you’ll have a panoramic view of the Ancient City, the lake and the vast plains.
After our visit to Butrint, we will return to Saranda. Feel free to dive into the Albanian culture a bit more afterward, before we start boarding the boat again to return to the greek island around 19h00.

We always recommend booking in the first days of your stay so you can pick another day in case your tour is cancelled due to the adverse weather or sea conditions.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Please prepare according to the weather conditions, sun protection during the warm summer days is essential!
