Founded in 1996 by José Taveira, Portiate is a family-owned company specializing in yacht charters in Portugal, with options for rentals with or without a private skipper. Supported by his wife Anna and their three sons, José launched Portiate as a family endeavor, ensuring that the whole family is involved—from customer service to yacht maintenance and captaining.
Our mission is simple: to create unforgettable moments for our guests through personalized service, driven by a true love of the ocean. Our fleet currently includes three sailing catamarans, two monohulls, and four motor boats, all based at the Marina of Portimão. We operate durante todo o ano, offering both day trips and multi-day charters from one day up to a week.
