You can choose either option. In the first phases of instruction for new paddlers, we will go over a variety of topics, including form, posture, balance, and paddling technique.
This course will also cover how to figure out what currents, tides, and winds mean, as well as how to plan routes. You are more than welcome to bring your own kayak or stand-up paddleboard, or you will have the opportunity to rent one from us during the checkout process.
