There are quite a lot of areas all around Florida, especially in Miami, where you can also get around with Spanish. Other than that, if you speak basic school English, you will easily be able to communicate with locals.
The currency in the US is the US Dollar. You can exchange your currency in local banks, we recommend using the banks in town instead of the airport. Most shops and Restaurants accept Credit Cards, where you can pay also with foreign Credit Card (please check at your bank if fees apply).
Getting around in Florida
If you want to get to Florida, you can fly to one of the main airports at Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando or Tampa. You can also get to Florida by train. Within the bigger cities, you also have public transportation networks like the Metro or Subway. Downtown in the bigger cities you can also use scooters, bikes, or walk to the most important tourist attractions.
Rideshare Apps are also available in most urban areas of Florida, if you want to get to a destination a bit further out from the city.
