Blue Crabbing Boat Tour in Isle of Palms

Are you ready for a blue crabbing boat tour in Isle of Palms?
Our shaded excursion boat will take you to Capers Island preserve where you can crab the old fashioned way using a hand line and net. During your boat tour, our expert naturalist guide will pull a few crab traps and share their knowledge about the life history of the blue crab and stone crab. You will also enjoy an eco-tour and learn about dolphins and other wildlife. This activity is exclusively available from Memorial Day to Labor Day and lasts for 3.5 hours.
While crabbing from the beach, you can also swim or explore Capers Island. The highlight of this trip is a crab boil, where we provide fresh steamed crabs purchased from our local crabber that morning. You can enjoy your crabs with butter and old bay, and we also provide plenty of ice-cold watermelon to ensure everyone has plenty to eat. The boat departs from 41st Avenue in Isle of Palms and can take up to 42 passengers.
This is an outstanding opportunity for the entire family! Although we catch and release the ones we catch, we bring plenty of crabs along to ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy them. You may bring your own refreshments and a small cooler for the trip. Passengers aged 21 and over are welcome to bring beer and wine.
Please wear comfortable and weather-appropriate clothing and shoes or sandals. Bathing suits are optional, as you can get into the water during this excursion. You are also welcome to bring a bag with sunscreen, towels, cameras, binoculars, bug spray, or anything else that will improve your experience.
