SeaBookings is a unique resource to discover the best watersports and boat tours. SeaBookings was born in 2013 by a dream of two Dutch sisters – Bo and Femke Irik. They aimed to help small local tour providers gain visibility online and thereby allowing travellers to book the best and most authentic sea experiences. SeaBookings is now the world’s biggest guide for watersports and boat tours.
In addition, we’re specialists in organizing private events at sea, be it birthdays, weddings or corporate events. For more than 10 years, we’ve organized many types of events in multiple destinations worldwide. We love helping with small occasions like wedding proposals but are also up for greater events like the Algarve Bootsfestival that we hosted 4 times. Make your event unforgettable, do it at sea!

Wir sind Bo und Femke, the duo behind SeaBookings, and we’re excited to share a bit of our story with you. We started working in Maritime Tourism in 2006, in Lagos, selling tickets in person! What started as an idea in 2013 has become a huge part of our lives, and we feel very lucky to be on this journey together. We’re different in many ways but share the same vision of connecting people with the sea.
Femke is the one who’s always been a bit of a dreamer and a doer at heart. She is driven by a passion for turning ideas into reality.
Für Bo, the best part of SeaBookings is testing out the sea experiences we offer. Whale watching, for example, is something she’d happily do a hundred times over! Furthermore, Bo loves organizing events at sea, in particular in Lissabon, making sure every detail counts and ensures that each event leaves people feeling connected and excited about the ocean.
SeaBookings is not “Xiko’s” full time job, but it’s one of the projects he’s proudest of. Rebranding SeaBookings and designing the new website was a fun challenge and the result is visible! Xiko really likes SeaBookings as he’s always has had a strong connection to the sea, being a surfer from Lisbon. Beside surf, Xiko’s hobby are startups, having already founded a few. Xiko likes joining Bo to test all the SeaBookings experiences.
Nathalie is a real go-getter. In February 2018 she joined our team and she is very indispensable. Half Austrian, half Brazilian, born in Germany and speaking 4 different languages (Portuguese, German, English and Spanish) is a unique combo! She likes to work from her couch in Burgau, the South of Portugal, with her two dogs and cats sitting next to her. If you book your private event at sea with us, you’re in good hands with Nathalie!
